President urges self-reliance

PRESIDENT Hifikepunye Pohamba has called on Keetmanshoop residents to start income-generating activities to make their communities self-reliant.

“Today we are living in the era of competition for scarce resources, therefore it is incumbent upon our people to take the extra steps that will bring about self-reliance and economic change to their communities,” Pohamba said in a speech delivered on his behalf by Minister of Local Government John Pandeni during the inauguration of the Keetmanshoop Urban Constituency Office on Saturday.
