Doëseb died on Friday, 27 October, in Windhoek.
In a statement released on Saturday, Geingob said Doëseb contributed in building the Namibian nation.
“His exceptional work in composing the national anthem shines bright and shall, therefore, not be forgotten,” he said.
Geingob extended his condolences to the composer’s wife Amalia Doëses, children and family.
Doëseb will be buried next week.
