Premiership transfers top 100 million

LONDON – English Premiership clubs have dug deep paying out millions of pounds on players for the 2005-2006 season.

Chelsea are the big spenders once again, splashing out 21 million pounds on Manchester City’s Shaun Wright-Phillips and eight million on Spain left-back Asier Del Horno from Athletic Bilbao.
