Poor Service By Internet Cafes

Poor Service By Internet Cafes

I AM a frequent visitor to Windhoek and usually need to use the Internet to send my documents to other countries.

Most of the Internet cafes in Windhoek, if not all, do not allow users to use memory sticks/floppies to save or send their data. All they want users to do is simply to read and send e-mails, but what type of Internet service do you provide to a client if he or she can’t send any attachment or save it from the Internet? One Internet cafe which is located downtown even has written above its entrance ‘the biggest Internet cafe in Africa’.I would say this is an exaggeration or maybe they meant it in terms of numbers of computers and not in terms of providing quality service.Of course memory sticks or floppies sometimes come with viruses but it is the responsibility of the Internet café owner to install anti-virus software onto their workstations.I have travelled in many countries and most of the Internet cafes have no problem allowing users to use memory sticks.I hope this opinion would caution Internet cafes in Windhoek to prevent the impression that they are not providing proper services but only want to make money.Lituva Sakaria WindhoekAll they want users to do is simply to read and send e-mails, but what type of Internet service do you provide to a client if he or she can’t send any attachment or save it from the Internet?
