The Polytechnic of Namibia today hosts the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) Africon 2007 Conference.

The IEEE is a forum that allows academics and professional engineers to publish their research findings, and is also the largest technical professional organisation in the world with more than 360 000 members in around 175 countries.
