Police investigate rape of intern doctor

The Namibian Police are investigating a case in which a medical intern at an Oshakati hospital was allegedly raped by a colleague this week.

Deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi confirmed the case to The Namibian on Wednesday.

According to the police report, the victim (28) was allegedly raped while sleeping at the perpetrator’s home. No arrest has been made yet, although the suspect is known by the police.
