The Windhoek municipality has announced a planned power outage in the central business district (CBD) and surrounding areas to allow for upgrades to the CBD load centre.
The outage will take place between 12h00 and 18h00 on Friday, and will affect areas including Windhoek West, Windhoek East, Dorado Valley, Dorado Park, and the central business township.
In a statement, the city urges residents in affected areas to treat all electrical installations as live at all times, warning that supply may be restored without prior notice.
“The city apologises for any inconvenience this interruption may cause and appreciates your patience and cooperation as we carry out these important improvements,” the statement reads.
