Petrus Sindimba appointed executive director of urban and rural development

Prime minister Elijah Ngurare on Tuesday appointed Petrus Sindimba as the executive director of urban and rural development without accounting functions.

Effective from 1 November, Sindimba will serve at the Ministry of Urban and Rural Develooment for a fixed term of five years.

He is currently Nkurenkuru Town Council’s chief executive, where he has been serving since September 2007.

Sindimba has a decade of experience in public service, having served as a community liaison officer at the then Ministry of Regional, Local Government and Housing, and an economist at the then Ministry of Trade and Industry in 2000.

He holds a master’s degree in business administration and a diploma in public administration.

“I take this opportunity ot congratulate Mr Sindimba on his appointment and wish him
success in his new position,”
the prime minister said in a statement.
