Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) secretary general Manuel Ngaringombe says they will be supporting the United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate in the regional constituency by-elections at Kamanjab, in the Kunene region.
Ngaringombe on Thursday urged all PDM members in the Kamanjab constituency to support and vote for UDF candidate Jacobus Namaseb.
“This gesture is a demonstration of our ongoing commitment to fostering strong hovernance in the Kunene region through the collaborative efforts of the PDM and UDF,” he said.
Although the party does not have a candidate for Kamnajab, it is taking party in the Sesfontein, Otjiwarongo and Grootfontein by-elections.
The by-elections are slated for 17 June.
Ngaringombe further called for a strong voter turnout in these by-elections and encouraged all eligible voters to participate actively in strengthening democratic governance.
The Sesfontein candidate is Joshua Kaisuma, Grootfontein’s is Rosina Uises and Otjiwarongo’s is Ernst Muraranganda.
