Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) members of parliament who were on their way to the party electoral congress were involved in an accident 17km before Divundu.
Party members of parliament Elma Dienda, Inna Hengari, newly elected youth league secretary general Julia Nekwaya, central committee member Vakaamuina Kamutuzue, Mike Venaani, and in-house media personnel Desere !Ganes were involved in the accident.
PDM secretary general Manuel Ngaringombe confirmed the accident.
“All those involved are recovering, and we are now all on our way to the congress.”
The incident occurred Wednesday evening at around 19h30.
