Former Swapo parliamentarian Patience Masua has been appointed as the interim executive chairperson and board chairperson of the National Youth Council (NYC).
The appointment was made by education minister Sanet Steenkamp.
Masua’s appointment followed the resignation of former interim executive chairperson Kennedy Kariseb, who stepped down in December 2025.
The NYC announced on its social media page on Friday that Masua was formally introduced to staff members by the director of youth in the ministry, Nicolas Tembwe, on Friday.
