PASTOR Jerrow Tsamaseb (38) was shot dead in a riverbed in Katutura this weekend after he pursued a robber.

The Police reported yesterday that Tsamaseb and a family member had just entered their church in Dagon Street, Soweto, when a man appeared and grabbed a laptop computer that was carried by one of the victims.The two gave chase, following the suspect into a nearby riverbed. The suspect is then said to have dropped the computer, pulled out a firearm and demanded that the two hand over their cellphones.He reportedly fired a shot, prompting Tsamaseb to grab hold of him.The suspect then fired another shot, hitting Tsamaseb in the chest.* The Police in Windhoek yesterday discovered the body of a man in a riverbed in Katutura.The body was found with a knife stuck in his head.Police said the suspect did not appear to have put up a struggle. His identity was still unknown yesterday.* Solar panels worth N$79 000 were reportedly stolen from the farm Okozongutu south in the Otjozondjupa region on Saturday. No arrest or recovery has been made yet.*A 22-year-old man was murdered in Katutura on Friday night while on his way home from a night out. According to an eyewitness who was travelling with the deceased, they had been walking along a footpath next to the Monte Cristo road when three men attacked them.The witness said he fled and one of the suspects chased after him while the other two attackers remained with his friend.The witness ran home where he reported the incident, and after returning to the scene with a group of community members, they discovered the body of Angula Kandjodhi in the grass next to the footpath.No arrest has been made yet.
