A chruch leader from a village in the Omusati region’s Tsandi constituency is accused of repeatedly raping his stepdaughter (15) and impregnating her.
This was confirmed by Omusati regional police commander commissioner Ismael Basson on Saturday.
The police said the teenager has since given birth.
Basson said the child was repeatedly raped in July 2023.
The girl’s mother, who is also the man’s wife, reported the incident to the police, Basson said.
The suspect has allegedly fled to his mother’s home at a village in the Oshana region.
