PRESIDENT Sam Nujoma last week used his constitutional powers to proclaim the opening date of the new session of Namibia’s Parliament – and changed it from the Tuesday to the Wednesday of next week without explanation.
Earlier last week it had been announced by the secretaries of both the National Assembly and the National Council that Parliament would open, amid elaborate ceremony, on Tuesday, February 17.
