ALL roads lead to Outjo tomorrow, where the First National Bank (FNB) of Namibia’s Rugby Classic match between Windhoek Gymnasium and Moria High School takes place.
A media statement issued on Wednesday by FNB’s Manager for Corporate Communications, Cassius Moetie, said: ‘This is not the first year for both schools to participate in the FNB Classic Clash programme, and following the excitement of the FNB Classic Clashes since we rolled out the school’s sports development programme earlier this year, everybody at Gymnasium and Moria are excited and the hype at both schools is very high.’He said Windhoek Gymnasium and Moria have played against each other four times, and both schools won two matches each. ‘This will be their fifth encounter, and it will be interesting to see which school has more depth in their line-up this time around,’ he added. The programme for the FNB Rugby Classic Clash will start at 09h45, with the host school Moria fielding their second rugby team against the first team of Etosha Secondary School. Moetie said it is also expected that the schools will have netball matches of their Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 teams as build-up to the main FNB Rugby Classic Clashes match at 12h00.The Windhoek-based team will hit the road to Outjo today in order to have enough time to rest ahead of the tough FNB Rugby Classic Clash tomorrow. ‘We, at FNB, would like to wish all the sportsmen and women involved with the FNB Rugby Classic Clashes at the Outjo Sport Field on Saturday the very best of luck, and may sportsmanship be the winner on the day,’ Moetie said. – Nampa
