NAMIBIAN international Mohammed Ouseb will know this week if he will join South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Mamelodi Sundowns for the next season.
Sundowns coach Paul Dolezar expressed interest in the former Lyn Oslo (Norway) and Kaizer Chiefs (SA) player but could still not reveal if he will be in the Sundowns fold next season. Dolezar told The Namibian Sport from Pretoria yesterday that negotiations around the player were currently ongoing between his agent and Sundowns’ legal representative.”Everything is currently in the hands of the two gentleman but what I can say now is that Mohammed is in my plans and I would like to have him at Sundowns,” he said.Sundowns Legal Affairs Director Jose Ferreira yesterday confirmed that discussions are currently underway with Ouseb’s agent.Ferreira did not want to disclose the terms and conditions regarding his contract but simply said that they were ‘making progress.’ Sources suggested that Ouseb will receive close to N$25 000 per month if he is signed up by Sundowns, now under their new owner Patrice Motsepe.Motsepe is initially expected to reveal the names of the new signings to the public this week.Ouseb, who is currently clubless, was first linked to his former club Kaizer Chiefs, but reports had it that he was not happy with the offer made by the PSL champions, while Ted Dumitru (coach) did also not see him as part of his plans for next season.Dolezar told The Namibian Sport from Pretoria yesterday that negotiations around the player were currently ongoing between his agent and Sundowns’ legal representative.”Everything is currently in the hands of the two gentleman but what I can say now is that Mohammed is in my plans and I would like to have him at Sundowns,” he said.Sundowns Legal Affairs Director Jose Ferreira yesterday confirmed that discussions are currently underway with Ouseb’s agent.Ferreira did not want to disclose the terms and conditions regarding his contract but simply said that they were ‘making progress.’ Sources suggested that Ouseb will receive close to N$25 000 per month if he is signed up by Sundowns, now under their new owner Patrice Motsepe.Motsepe is initially expected to reveal the names of the new signings to the public this week.Ouseb, who is currently clubless, was first linked to his former club Kaizer Chiefs, but reports had it that he was not happy with the offer made by the PSL champions, while Ted Dumitru (coach) did also not see him as part of his plans for next season.
