The police are on the hunt for a man (70) for allegedly raping a woman (32) with a mental illness at Onakankuzi-East village at Omuthiya in the Oshikoto region on Friday.
This was announced by national police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi in the police’s crime report.
The incident is said to have taken place between 07h00 and 12h00.
The police have confirmed that the suspect has not been arrested yet, and investigations continue.
In a separate incident on the same day, an Angolan man (35) allegedly raped a Namibian woman (22) with an intellectual disability at Iipanda village in the Okatope area.
The assault reportedly took place around 21h00 while the victim was attending a wedding.
The suspect has been arrested, and police investigations are ongoing.
