The Police in the Oshana region are asking the public to help them identify a woman who allegedly killed her newborn and discarded its body in a dustbin.
The incident allegedly took place at Ongwediva on Sunday.
Thomas Aiyambo of the Oshana police has confirmed the incident.
“The suspect, who remains unidentified, allegedly used Sellotape to cover the baby’s mouth and nose before dumping the body, which was later found in a decomposed state. We urge the public to assist in tracing the mother, who will face murder charges.”
Police investigations are ongoing.
