Oshana aims to win Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup

The Oshana region is positive about winning the Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup 2024 as the region gears up for the annual football and netball tournament at Gobabis over the Easter weekend.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from 30 March to 1 April.

Oshana region assistant coach Selma Kanambungu on Wednesday said the players are ready to go to battle and win the Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup, and all travel arrangements are in place.

“We are ready for the games, and we feel so positive about winning. We want to bring the cup back home this year.

“Most of our players have played a few local games, and they are really promising. We have played about four local games in the region against some of the top clubs, and we won all the games,” she said.

Kanambungu said the netball team is also well prepared and hopes to emerge victorious.

“This is our year, and we are really going out there to win either first or second place,” she said.
