Oshakati-based DJ Martin Nembia, popularly known as DJ Omzala, died on Wednesday evening at the Oshakati Intermediate Hospital following an illness.
A close family friend, Jeremiah Nghipunyati, confirmed his death.
DJ Omzala emerged as a prominent figure in the music industry over the decades, leaving a permanent mark as a pioneer in the art of DJing.
His rise to fame began in the early 1990s, captivating audiences with his mesmerising performances at the renowned Club Fantasy in Oshakati and beyond.
