Ongwediva Conflict Drags On

WE residents from Ongwediva are not feeling happy about what Swapo did to us by forcing Councillors upon us who we haven’t voted for.

Swapo party accepted false stories that were created in meetings, organised by Swapo Coordinator in Oshana Region Erastus Uutoni, his Secretary at those meetings Tangeni Mupupa and the Chairman Thikameni Ekandjo, held at Charles Anderson Primary School in Ongwediva. Its disturbing to note that among those who are messing up the situation in Ongwediva and also to withdraw or to take out those Councillors who have been elected by the people and thrown them away, is the highly respected spiritual leader Bishop Dumeni.Bishop Dumeni is been used by Uutoni to let President Sam Nujoma understand false things that are being spread.Has Bishop Dumeni forgotten the words in the Bible since his retirement? We now doubt our highly respected leaders such as Bishop Dumeni, because they are not working in the interests of the people they suppose to represent, and hear their problems, but instead are taking part in these kind of bad things.We also now wonder why the followers of Uutoni, such as Bishop Dumeni, now say they are not Uutoni’s followers, although some of them such as Josef Kanzi are the ones who are going from house to house distributing papers and letters about meetings that are aiming to destroy the recent Swapo branches and districts in Ongwediva with the aim for Uutoni to take them over with his group.Can’t Swapo senior leaders see that Uutoni is destroying Swapo? Have they heard that Uutoni is saying that because those old branch and district leaders have not elected him, he will dismantle Ongwediva branches and put new ones in place.Where are we heading with this kind of practices?
