On ‘Selfish’ Ex-Combatants Demands

ALLOW me to air my view on the issue of ex-combatants who want compensation.

It is true what Mr Andrew Niikondo said, and I believe that Namibians, particularly those who were in exile, need to appreciate what Swapo did for them upon returning to Namibia. If you look at other African countries that experienced the same as Namibia in the past, it’s not always the case that returnees were given jobs like Namibia did for its returnees.We do not want Namibia to turn into a country which is under the poverty line just because a certain group of people want more money than the country possesses.Can all ex-combatants please try to work hard for themselves and become self-sufficient just like anyone one else in Namibia? We are really tired of returnees always being the ones to get this and that.When will we also get the chance?
