IN your Friday April 3 edition (page 6) you had an article about questions re the budget and Air Namibia. The DTA leader was asking about Air Namibia. Minister Abraham Iyambo defended Air Namibia and stated that in the year 2009-09 air Namibia had generated N$1,3 billion in revenue. If this the case then why are they asking for another N$100 million? Surely they can be self-supporting. Maybe they should get rid of the dead wood at the top.
The second point: I challenge all political parties who are going to take part in the forthcoming elections to take out a full page in all the local newspapers and lay out their Election Manifesto and what they are going to do for the country and citizens if they come into power.At least this way we, the citizens, would have an idea of what to expect. Mostly they just vilify each other, and when the elections are over, all the PROMISES they made are just washed under the carpet and forgotten.I liked Dudley’s cartoon about Air Namibia’s new emblem.
