The Omaruru Municipality has issued an urgent public notice warning residents and retailers about a safety recall of NAN Special Pro HA infant formula, following a directive from the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
The recalled product is NAN Special Pro HA Infant Formula (0-12 months), 800g, with batch number 5166074213, a best-before date of 15 December 2026, and a manufacture date of 15 June 2025.
The municipality says the affected product was distributed nationwide and sold through major retailers and distributors from last September.
Residents, retailers and distributors have been urged to immediately check their stock and withdraw or discontinue use of any product matching the specified batch details.
The municipality stresses that the notice relates to product safety concerns communicated by the health ministry.
Members of the public and retailers seeking further information have been advised to contact the Environmental Health and Risk Management Office at the Omaruru Municipality.
