As a Government official in middle management ranks within the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, I am so disappointed by the way vehicles are allocated to us. The Ministry permanently hires vehicles from the Government garage and some of these vehicles are so old that you may even be afraid to drive it from Katima to Windhoek if you really care about your life. The Ministry bought a lot of vehicles through SPAN project but the majority are parked at LTA head office.Permanent Secretary, please look into this matter, otherwise you will lose your hardworking young and junior staff members through accidents.A good example here was when a black colleague was denied a new vehicle which later on was given to a white colleague and the black colleague was then given an old vehicle. What is the meaning of this?
