Old Mutual appoints Ekandjo as new retail MD

Old Mutual Namibia has appointed Ingah Ekandjo as its new managing director (MD) of retail mass business.

Chief executive Tassius Chigariro has highlighted Ekandjo’s industry background, commitment and vision as the key factor behind her appointment to strengthen Old Mutual’s brand.

“Ingah’s strategic vision, deep industry expertise, and commitment to excellence make her the ideal leader for our retail mass business. We are confident her leadership will further strengthen our position as a trusted partner for Namibians.”

Chigariro says the company is looking forward to Ekandjo’s leadership as it continues in its efforts to deliver on its purpose of enabling positive futures for all Namibians.

Ekandjo says she is looking forward to working with her new team in driving growth and empowering people, aligning perfectly with Old Mutual’s purpose.

“I am honoured to join Old Mutual Namibia and look forward to working with our talented team to deliver innovative solutions and meaningful value to our customers. My passion for driving growth and empowering people aligns perfectly with Old Mutual’s purpose and values,” she says.

Before joining Old Mutual, Ekandjo served as the executive officer for Momentum Metropolitan Retail Distribution Namibia.

She holds an undergraduate degree, a master’s degree in business leadership, and has completed various leadership development programmes both locally and internationally.

Ekandjo will assume her role on 2 January.
