A Woman (25) was allegedly raped and assaulted while walking home at Omafo at Helao Nafidi on Friday night.
National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi says the incident reportedly occurred at around 21h00.
“The victim was on her way home from local bars when an unknown man began chasing her. He allegedly caught up with her, assaulted her and raped her,” she says.
The suspect fled the scene, and no arrests have been made yet.
The police say the victim has received medical attention and investigations are ongoing.
