Ohangwena wants a peaceful festive season – Kashuupulwa

Ohangwena regional commander commissioner Ottilie Kashuupulwa says the police are ready to do everything possible to ensure a peaceful festive season across the region.

The police already commenced with a two-phased operation on 17 November, which ends on 31 December. The second phase of the operation will take place from 1 to 17 January.

“I would like to urge residents of the Ohangwena region and those visiting during the festive season to adhere to the laws in place, and to take extra precautions to protect their property.

“We don’t want to be arresting and locking people up when they should be enjoying this time with their families, however, those who do not abide by the laws will definitely feel the wrath of the law.”

Kashuupulwa also cautioned residents and visitors not to speed, or drink and drive.
