As we celebrate during the festive season, Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) is pulling out all the stops to ensure that the beauty of our nation remains accessible to every Namibian. From the sun-drenched Atlantic coast to the serene depths of the Etosha Pan, NWR has launched a comprehensive series of initiatives designed to make budget-friendly travel a reality for domestic and Southern African Development Community (SADC) travellers through mid-2026.
1.Bridging the Gap: NWR’s Commitment to Affordable Travel
At its core, NWR operates as a state-owned entity with a mandate to ensure that Namibia’s protected areas belong to its people. Recognising that the cost of leisure travel can often feel out of reach, NWR has strategically positioned itself as a partner for the budget-conscious traveller. By focusing on a range of accessible facilities, NWR provides options that prioritise affordability without compromising the experience of being in the heart of the wild. This focus is a direct response to the need for local accessibility, ensuring that exploring our national heritage is a shared right.
The Coast is Yours: Unbeatable Summer Camping
For many Namibians, December is synonymous with the coast. NWR’s “The Coast is Yours” campaign features specialised summer rates for the West Coast Recreational Area:
- Miles 72, Jakkalsputz, and Torra Bay from 5 December to 31 January.
- Mile 108 valid until 30 June 2026.
- Children aged zero to 12 stay for free at these coastal camps.
Year-Round Value: Classic Resorts and Camping
Beyond the festive rush, NWR has secured special rates valid from 5 December until 30 June 2026 specifically for Namibian individuals and SADC residents.
The NamLeisure Card remains the ultimate tool for the savvy local traveller, offering tiered options like Solo, Plus, Family, Student, and Corporate. Holders receive extra meal discounts for 2025/26, lower accommodation rates and reduced prices on most guided drives and excursions.
NWR continues to innovate with a diverse calendar of promotions designed to entice the domestic market at every turn. These are not just one-off events but part of a broader commitment to making travel a lifestyle for Namibians.
