Swapo central committee member Sisa Namandje says founding president Sam Nujoma (95) is well.
Namandje said this at a Swapo campaign rally at Rundu on Saturday.
“The leader of our revolution, Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma, is well, but we must keep glorifying him for the work he has done. He was not feeling well, but he is doing well,” Namandje said.
Namandje did not indicate whether Nujoma is still in hospital or has been discharged.
Nujoma was admitted to a Windhoek hospital about two weeks ago.
The white bearded leader was also hospitalised in May this year.
His personal doctor, Tshali Ithete, at the time, said Nujoma was in good health after being discharged from the hospital.
