Nujoma blames imperialists

NKURENKURU – Swapo Party President Sam Nujoma has told Namibians to remain vigilant against what he called reactionaries and divisive forces at work, those he claims who are attempting to reverse the hard-earned gains of the country’s freedom and independence.

Nujoma said he had noted with great concern how imperialists were bent on mobilising ‘opportunists and political renegades’ on the African continent, aimed at perpetuating the economic marginalisation and under-development in Africa. He made these statements when he addressed a Swapo Party rally at Nkurenkuru in north-eastern Namibia over the weekend.”As the struggle for economic independence intensifies, the enemies of peace desperately become more vicious in an attempt to mislead our people and disturb peace and stability in the country,” claimed Nujoma.”The Namibian people must see these opportunists as they are. They are the enemy of peace and social progress,” he alleged. He warned that the Namibian Government under Swapo Party leadership remained ready and would not tolerate neo-colonialism being ‘wheelchaired’ into Namibia.”The Swapo Party stands ready as it has always been to carry out the mandate of shaping the future destiny of Namibia,” he said.NampaHe made these statements when he addressed a Swapo Party rally at Nkurenkuru in north-eastern Namibia over the weekend.”As the struggle for economic independence intensifies, the enemies of peace desperately become more vicious in an attempt to mislead our people and disturb peace and stability in the country,” claimed Nujoma.”The Namibian people must see these opportunists as they are. They are the enemy of peace and social progress,” he alleged. He warned that the Namibian Government under Swapo Party leadership remained ready and would not tolerate neo-colonialism being ‘wheelchaired’ into Namibia.”The Swapo Party stands ready as it has always been to carry out the mandate of shaping the future destiny of Namibia,” he said.Nampa
