NSX stocks and deals … VUKILE AGM ON MONDAY

OWNERS of the Oshakati Shopping Centre will hold their annual general meeting on Monday, 2 September 2019, the Namibian Stock Exchange meetings’ diary shows.

Vukile, whose portfolio has a foothold in Namibia, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Spain, has assets worth over N$33 billion, and made a profit of N$1,9 billion in 2019, down from N$2,4 billion in 2018.

Other than the Oshakati Shopping Centre, Vukile has minor interests in the Katutura Shopping Centre as well.

FINANCIAL services firm Letshego Holdings Namibia and banking major FirstRand Namibia Holdings will release their financial statements next week.

Letshego will release their interim results on Monday, and FirstRand will release their full-year results for 2019.

The two companies made profits last year, and analysts at Cirrus Capital expect the increase in profit and earnings per share to be in the region of 3,4% for Letshego, and 13% for FirstRand.

INSURANCE services conglomerate Santam Limited increased their premiums’ income by 9% to N$17 billion from N$15 billion recorded last year.

The company revealed this with the release of their interim financial statements for the six months ending 30 June 2019, which show the company now has assets worth N$9 billion from N$8,8 billion in 2018.

An interim dividend of 392 cents per share was declared for those six months.
