BIDVEST Namibia Limited shareholders were advised to check their mail and the company’s website for the proposed takeover circular.
The company announced yesterday that a circular to shareholders detailing the proposed takeover of their entire shareholding in Bidvest Namibia by the Bidvest Group was posted through Nampost yesterday.
reported this week that the Bidvest Group had tabled a N$10,50 per share offer to the other shareholders to strip them of their entire shareholding. Other shareholders own 34%, including the Government Institutions Pension Fund, which has an 11% stake. The company also announced that a general meeting would be held on 17 May 2019. #Share price 24 April 2019: N$9,99 per share.
OLD Mutual Limited shareholders will receive their 72 cents per share dividend on Monday, 29 April 2019.
This was part of the dividends announcements made for listed companies for April. The last day to trade for this dividend was 26 March.
Old Mutual has paid dividends 37 times since listing on the local stock exchange, with the highest-ever dividend paid in 2012, where shareholders received 221 cents per share.

NAMDEB’S diamond output dropped in the first quarter of 2019 to 483 000 carats from 505 000 carats.
Anglo American Plc, the ultimate holding company of Namdeb Holdings, announced this as part of 2019’s first three months’ production results, which saw a drop in all operations’ output at 14%.
Total operations recovered about seven million carats for the quarter under review, down from nine million in December 2018.
Production in South Africa has dropped significantly by 69%, from 1,2 million carats to 382 000 carats.
According to Anglo American, Namibian production decreased because of Elizabeth Bay operations that were placed under care and maintenance last December.
The company will be holding its annual general meeting next Tuesday, 30 April 2019, in London, United Kingdom.
