Not too young to graduate

THE Vihango Evans Vihanga Recreation and Training Centre in Windhoek held its graduation ceremony and a beauty pageant over the weekend.

The day-care centre and pre-primary school started in January and helps 12 children between the ages of three and six with their homework. “Some of us gathered here might be wondering why a graduation [is held] for such young kids. The importance of graduating is to show appreciation for good work, also to serve as a means of motivation for the young ones to further their education,” said Veronica Vihanga, principal of the centre. The centre is named after her son, who passed away while studying engineering in South Africa in 2005.”Some of us gathered here might be wondering why a graduation [is held] for such young kids. The importance of graduating is to show appreciation for good work, also to serve as a means of motivation for the young ones to further their education,” said Veronica Vihanga, principal of the centre. The centre is named after her son, who passed away while studying engineering in South Africa in 2005.
