A Northern Regional Electricity Distributor (Nored) employee, Ananias Iiyambo, died at Okongo in the Ohangwena region after being electrocuted on duty on Saturday.
Nored spokesperson Simon Lukas confirmed the incident on Sunday.
“We, however, cannot comment further as we are awaiting a formal report from the team on site investigating.
“Let’s not jump to conclusions without certified information. Due care and sensitivity must be accorded at this early stage to the bereaved family, colleagues and friends,” Lukas said.
