No exception in implementing party manifesto – Nandi-Ndaitwah

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa has warned Swapo members that all government deployees, without exception, must implement the party’s manifesto.

She said this during the induction workshop for Swapo members of the eight parliament held in Windhoek on Wednesday.

“Let there be no misunderstanding. Swapo expects all its deployees, including myself, to demonstrate total commitment to the implementation of the Swapo election manifesto and its implementation plan as transformed into the Sixth National Development Plan,” she said.

The workshop aims to give members the necessary tools to effectively and efficiently carry out the tasks before them.

Nandi-Ndaitwah said the results of last year’s regional and local authority elections are a clear indication that Namibians have faith and hope in the party and high expectations for the eighth administration.

Now that they hold the majority in the National Assembly, control of the National Council and regional councils, as well as most local authorities, she said they have no reason not to coordinate their work and provide quality services to the people.

“The Namibian people have elected us with a purpose and this is the time to ensure that we maintain and restore the dominance of Swapo by ensuring that we deliver on our mandate,” she added.
