The regional commander of the police in Ohangwena, commissioner Ottilie Kashuupulwa, says the police have not made an arrest following the killing of a teacher at Omungwelume on Saturday night.
Kashuupulwa on Sunday said Natanael Nghihalwa (39) was shot dead at around 22h00 on Saturday night.
According to Kashuupulwa, Nghihalwa was killed after he had returned home from his bar, which is in the same area.
“It is suspected that, while he was in his sleeping room, the suspect or suspects entered his room and shot him,” Kashuupulwa said. “He was then found dead outside the room with a gunshot wound.”
Kashuupulwa said Nghihalwa was a teacher at Oshali West Combined School in the Ohangwena region.
