President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has cautioned people against walking in flooded areas during her visit to Etunda on Saturday.
The northern areas have been hit by floods recently, which has resulted in the closure of schools and dispatching of food aid via a military-led operation.
“We don’t want to lose even one life if we can prevent it,” said the president in her address at Etunda Relocation Centre.
According to the presidency, Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed her gratitude to the central government for working hand in hand with regional authorities to bring essential services closer to the people during this time of climate-change related disasters.
