THE Nictus Group of Companies are pleased to announce that John Day Mandy and Gerard Swart have been appointed as independent non-executive directors at Nictus Holdings Limited.
Nictus Holdings Namibia’s executive chairman Philippus Tromp welcomed the new appointments, and looks forward to many years of exceptional wealth-creation in the Nictus Group, with eight skilled directors who can make strategic decisions.
Gerard Swart is a qualified chartered accountant (South Africa and Namibia), and boasts with 34 years of experience in the accounting profession, of which 24 years was as an audit partner. He was also the managing partner of a chartered accounting and audit firm for 15 years.
John Day Mandy is a qualified chartered accountant (Namibia) and a partner of Chartered Secretaries, southern Africa. He has experience in senior executive roles at Pupkewitz Group Holdings, Namibian Harvest Investments Limited, Stocks & Stocks Properties and Arthur Andersen & Co.
In addition, he occupied the position of CEO of the Namibian Stock Exchange for a period of 10 years until the end of 2012.
Other directors on the Nictus Holdings’ board are Gerard Tromp, Nico Tromp, Frans van Staden, Hannes Retief, Philippus Tromp and Wilmar Fourie.
Nictus Holdings Namibia is the holding company of a group of companies which provides services in sectors such as cars, tyres, furniture retail, finance and insurance. Since 1945, Nictus Namibia has been a household name in the furniture business in Namibia.
