Ngurare calls on public offices to prioritise wellness through spring celebrations

Prime minister Elijah Ngurare calls on ministries, agencies and all offices to prioritise wellness by hosting spring celebration events.

Speaking during the Office of the Prime Minister’s (OPM’s) first spring celebration on Monday, ‘Springtember’, Ngurare emphasised the importance of prioritising wellness, which he said if neglected could mean neglected service delivery.

“There is no price for happiness and well motivated public servants,” he said.

He encouraged his staff members to prioritise their physical and mental health, saying they are integral parts of service delivery.

He commended the OPM wellness committee for organising the event, noting that it should become an annual event across the entire public service.

“We must make this an annual event not only for OPM but also the whole public service,” he said.
