A Police sting operation led to the arrest of a suspect in possession of almost N$1 million worth of cannabis on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, the suspect, a Namibian man (24), was arrested at a residence in Khomasdal at 00h43.
He was found in possession of 18 570g of compressed cannabis, the police say.
This amounts to 18 parcels of the drug and has been valued at approximately N$929 000.
The suspect has been charged with the contravention of the Abuse of Dependence-Producing Substances and Rehabilitation Centres Act, and investigation into the matter is ongoing.
