Ndilimani pair recovering after crash

TWO members of the Ndilimani Cultural Troupe who were involved in a motor accident on Tuesday, in which the third occupant died, are recovering at the Lady Pohamba Hospital in Windhoek.

The troupe’s manager Jessy Nombanza told The Namibian this morning that lead singer Castro Iileni, band manager Joseph Gabriel and a friend Arture Foustinu, were involved in an accident 10 km from Werde on the Kamanjab-Werde road.

Foustinu, who was not a member of the troupe died on the spot.

According to the police, the driver lost control of the 2.8 Toyota double-cab and it overturned.

“They have passed the critical stage and are now on the way to recovery,” Nombanza said.

He added that a memorial service for Foustinu will be held on Saturday and the burial will take place on Sunday but declined to give further details saying it is best to leave it to the family to disclose.

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
