Ndeunyema steps down as Namcor MD

The acting managing director of the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia, Shiwana Ndeunyema, has submitted his intention to step down from the position, the Namcor board confirmed on Thursday.

Meantime, he will continue in the position and actively supervise the organisation’s day-to-day operations.

“While it is true that Ndeunyema has expressed his intention to step down from his position as acting managing director, the Namcor board of directors would like to affirm that he is currently still in the capacity of acting managing director. He remains in his role, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation,” the board said in a statement.

The board says it is actively working on a transition plan to ensure the continued smooth functioning of Namcor during this period
