National Council resumes business

THE National Council resumed business yesterday after having been adjourned on October 13.Fifteen members of the Council were present on the first day, where they were briefed by the Speaker on business that they will be expected to attend to over the next few weeks.

The National Assembly has referred six bills to the Council for review, namely the Standards Bill, the General Law Amendment Bill, the Forest Amendment Bill, the Estates and Successions bill, the Children’s Status Bill and the Metrology Amendment Bill.
