ROME – Napoli, the team that Argentine legend Diego Maradona led to two Italian league titles, were officially declared bankrupt on Monday.

Weighed down by expectations following their Serie A championship wins in 1987 and 1990, Napoli have struggled in recent years and finished 14th in the second division last season.
