President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah last week launched three task forces to coordinate and monitor progress in key national priorities such as economic recovery, health and housing.
The task forces, drawn from the Public-Private Forum’s working groups, aim to restore a resilient economy, access to quality healthcare and access to affordable housing, with additional government members joining each group.
“With these, I am mandating the secretariat of the forum, the director general of the National Planning Commission, to work out the modalities,” she said.
The president said those who participated in different working groups and committees will be the secretariats of the task forces, including the private sector.
According to her, the secretariats will receive their terms of reference next week and will report back to her by the end of January 2026, a deadline they have set for their presentations.
