NamPower donates workbooks to Kunene pupils

Nampower donated reading workbooks worth N$300 000 to grades 1, 2, and 3 pupils in the Kunene region on 29 August.

The workbooks were written by teacher and author Ursula Matzopoulos to help young pupils improve their grasp on important phonics and reading comprehension skills.

One of the schools set to benefit from this donation is Uahekua Herunga Primary School, whose principal was present at the handover ceremony in Ruacana alongside Kunene chief education officer Petrus Shipalanga and acting Ruacana Power Station manager Sakaria Shivolo.

The school also received a donation of 35 mattresses, valued at N$34 212, which will offer students a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
