Namibia to play South Africa in indoor hockey

NAMIBIA’S national men’s hockey team will play four test matches against their South African counterparts later this month.

The tests will form part of the first Pro Series Indoor Hockey Challenge, which will be held at the DTS Club in Olympia from September 7 to 10. According to Shayne Cormack of Namibia Sport Dynamics, the PSI series will cater for under-11, under-14 and under-18 hockey players.”Namibia’s most promising young talent will entertain you with a weekend of action-packed Indoor Hockey Games. The Indoor Hockey Pro Series was successfully established by the former South African goalkeeper, Simon Martin, in November 2004 as a way of generating exposure for his hockey school and exploiting the marketing potential that indoor hockey has to offer.European nations base their outdoor success and development on a strong, structured indoor system,” Cormack said.”The PSI hockey tournament is the gathering of enthusiastic hockey players from various schools within Windhoek for four days of intense skills and game enhancement. The tournament has been introduced to develop indoor hockey and introduce a new exciting concept to Namibian hockey.A total of 160 players have been drafted into four competitive teams to take part in this challenge,” she added. The highlight of the PSI will be the four tests between South Africa’s national men’s indoor team and Namibia’s national men’s indoor team, which will conclude each day’s activities.According to Shayne Cormack of Namibia Sport Dynamics, the PSI series will cater for under-11, under-14 and under-18 hockey players.”Namibia’s most promising young talent will entertain you with a weekend of action-packed Indoor Hockey Games. The highlight of the PSI will be the four tests between South Africa’s national men’s indoor team and Namibia’s national men’s indoor team, which will conclude each day’s activities.
