Namibia will be represented at three major international beauty pageants this year, the Miss Namibia Organisation (MNO) has confirmed.
Miss Namibia 2025 Johanna Swartbooi will compete at the Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, on 21 November.
Established in 1952, Miss Universe is one of the world’s most recognised beauty platforms.
“Miss Universe is a dream stage where I can not only showcase our culture and beauty but also amplify the voices of young women back home,” Swartbooi says.
First runner-up Uatjiri Mbaisa will take part in the Miss International 2025 competition in Tokyo, Japan, on 27 November. Her placement shifted from Miss Earth to Miss International due to age requirements.
“I feel honoured to stand among global sisters in Tokyo and share Namibia’s spirit of peace, unity and resilience with the world,” Mbaisa says.
Ndeshipewa Angula, a top five finalist in this year’s Miss Namibia, will represent the country at Miss Earth 2025 in Manila, Philippines, on 5 November.
“This is truly a platform that aligns with my passion for the environment, where I can advocate for Namibia’s natural treasures and our collective duty to protect the planet,” she says.
MNO chief executive Umbi Karuaihe-Upi expresses confidence in the trio’s potential to make an impact on the global stage.
“All three of our delegates embody the intelligence, grace and leadership it takes to make Namibia proud. They each meet the requirements for their respective platforms, and we have no doubt they will shine,” she says.
