Namibia’s women lost 8-1 to Germany in their final pool match at the Indoor Hockey World Cup in Porec on Thursday.

The match was a dead rubber since both teams had already qualified for the quarterfinals, but Germany showed their class with a clinical display.

Philin Bolle scored a hattrick, Ines Weber a brace, and Teresa Martin-Pelegrina and Katharina Kiefer one goal each in a dominant display.

Azaylee Philander scored a late consolation goal for Namibia from a short corner.

Namibia will take on Austria in the quarterfinals on Friday.
